The Four Pawns Attack (5.f4) is the most ambitious answer to the King's Indian: White occupies a massive c4-d4-e4-f4 center to smother Black's counterplay. But this imposing center is also a target: Black strikes at once with ...c5 or ...e5 to make it wobble. Very sharp and double-edged, this variation rewards calculation and precise knowledge of the central breaks.
