About this opening
The Krejcik Variation (2.Bc4) skips the e5 push to aim the bishop at f7 right away. Black replies with ...e6 or ...Nxe4 and obtains comfortable play, since the early bishop sortie lacks support. It is a surprise attempt with no real theoretical pressure, more a quick blitz move than a serious weapon against the Alekhine.
